EXAMINATION & PROMOTION
- The school conducts, monthly, tests, two terminal examina
tions and annual examination, during the academic year.
Chirldren of KG to class I will have regular monthly tests.
- Pupils absent from an examination for any reason are not
re-examined, and those absent from an examination without
valid, grave and genuine reasons will be considered as failed.
In case of illness, a doctor’s certificate will have to be produced.
- No candidate will be admitted to any of the examinations,
unless all school dues have been paid in full.
- Students are strictly forbidden from borrowing implements from
other students in the examination hall.
- Applications for the verification of marks may be considered
in special cases at the discretion of the Principal.
- The year’s work will be taken into account for Moral Science,
Drawing, Music, Craft, Dance and Physical Education. No
separate examination will be held in these subjects at the
end of each term. Grades will be awarded for these subjects.
- Promotion to higher class depends upon:
- a) Regularity in attendance
- b) Regularity and quality of day-to-day participation in the class.
- c) Opinion of teachers concerned.
- d) Written work and projects assigned by the subject teachers (sessional marks are based on grades and 40% weightage)
- e) Weightage of the unit test, from each terminal’s marks will
be added to the promotion total.
- f) A candidate failing in one or two subjects may be given promotion provided he/she has secured at least 35% marks in each of the subjects in which he/she has failed and maintains an aggregate of 50%.
- g) Internal or sessional marks in each subject.
- Results declared at the end of year are final in all cases and will not be reconsidered.
- A student failing twice in the same class will have to discontinue his/her studies in the school.
- A progress report will be sent to parents after each test and each examination. Parents are requested to sign the report and return it within five days.
Examinations, which consist of three terminal examinations,
three midterm examinations and internal assessment tests and a
number periodical test papers are conducted on the basis of the
guidelines prescribed by the CBSE. However, promotion to the higher
class will be on the assessment of the total performance of the pupil during the whole academic year which also includes home assign-
ments, Project work etc, besides the marks obtained in the termi-
nal examinations.
The weightage, for each terminal examination, assignment
etc. will be taken into account for determining promotion to the higher
class, is as follows:

To avoid unhealthy competition among students and parents, grading pattern is introduced instead of the ranking system. The following criteria will be observed for a 9 point scale gradation.
